KTM MACINA CHACANA LFC Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX Smart System shows. No matter how steep or technical the climb is: the Bosch motor makes it conquerable! At the same time, the drive provides a very well-rounded feeling while riding with a progressive power delivery. The well-tuned riding modes cater to bikers of all preferences. Thanks to the excellent range, you should no longer have any range problems.

Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. The mid-range brakes from Tektro do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. When it comes to the geometry, KTM does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Also, weight is an important factor when it comes to EMTB. The MACINA CHACANA LFC isn't exactly shining in this regard. There are lighter Trailbikes on the market.
