The KTM Lycan model line isn't bursting with innovation, but it's still insanely popular in the market. Why? The MACINA LYCAN 671 LTD is a simple, functional bike for beautiful tours. And that's exactly what many e-mountain bikers are looking for.
The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. Steep ramps are no problem for the Bosch motor. Additionally, the Bosch Performance Line CX stands out with a very natural riding feeling and a progressive power delivery. The well-tuned riding modes cater to bikers of all preferences. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the MACINA LYCAN 671 LTD are no problem.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the KTM MACINA LYCAN 671 LTD in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (5000) .

As the hits get faster and harder the average chassis limits the downhill fun. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. If the Meta's chainstay length is less than 445, the short chainstay and, if the Reach's Relative Rating is less than 3, the relatively short reach characterise the KTM as a playful, agile bike. This makes it easy to navigate through winding trails. Small wheels are becoming rare, but with the MACINA LYCAN 671 LTD the 27.5 wheels pay off with a playful riding experience. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes.

Conclusion

Expirience with the KTM MACINA LYCAN 671 LTD

The MACINA LYCAN 671 LTD doesn't stand out among the other bikes on the market. It is overshadowed by a middle ground groupset. Still, it is a solid climber and should find a loyal following. Be careful when choosing the size: The Aluminium frame sizing runs small.
