Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Active Line shows. At steep sections, the rather weak Bosch motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The Bosch Active Line gives off a well-rounded riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the MACINA RIDE 491 , because of its low range.

In rough terrain, the MACINA RIDE 491 lacks a bit of control with its only average fork. Especially heavy riders should be aware that the Shimano only decelerates poorly. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. On the scale, the MACINA RIDE 491 makes a good figure with 21,9 kg. Most Einsteiger-Bikes are significantly heavier.
