The MACINA TEAM 773 is among KTM 's most premium hardtails. To differentiate itself from the less expensive models in its own lineup, this bike has a much more organic design language.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX Smart System shows. The very well-rounded motor control and the progressive power output characterise the character of the Bosch motor. The well-tuned driving modes hit the mark. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the KTM MACINA TEAM 773 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

In rough terrain, the MACINA TEAM 773 lacks a bit of control with its only average fork. At the brakes, KTM reaches for the bottom of the Shimano shelf and instals simple brakes with two pistons and small 18 brake rotors. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. On winding trails, the playful handling comes to the fore, as the bike masters even the fastest direction changes with the short wheelbase playfully. Small wheels are becoming rare, but with the MACINA TEAM 773 the 27.5 wheels pay off with a playful riding experience. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Overall, the geometry does not seem to be up to date anymore. The competition is significantly more modern in this regard. Also, weight is an important factor when it comes to EMTB. The MACINA TEAM 773 isn't exactly shining in this regard. There are lighter EMTBs on the market.

Conclusion

Expirience with the KTM MACINA TEAM 773

With a fantastic motor and a very good range the MACINA TEAM 773 counts among the better climbers on the market. This emphasizes its fun factor on long tours on gravel roads and simple forest paths. Nevertheless, an average groupset also give cause for criticism. We have to stay honest.
