One standout feature of the RACEMAXX ELS is, without a doubt, its availability in all sizes. Riders from the very petite to the very tall will all find their happy trail.
As a component giant, Shimano is mostly known for its dominant position in bicycle gears. But with the EP600, the Japanese are clearly showing that they can look beyond their own plate too. Even nasty steep sections are effortlessly climbed by the motor. The Shimano EP600 conveys a riding feeling. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the RACEMAXX ELS in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (5000) .

The good SR Suntour fork dampens small and medium bumps confidently when mountain biking. The mid-range brakes from Magura do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons in front and two pistons in the rear setup is only average. For an EMTB , the Schwalbe tires with a width of #reifen_inch_breite inches are relatively narrow. In our opinion, Maxx could have put on wider tires. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Maxx uses good equipment. If the Meta's chainstay length is less than 445 short wheelbase and a moderate reach value make the handling pleasantly playful. Small wheels are becoming rare, but with the RACEMAXX ELS the 27.5 wheels pay off with a playful riding experience. Furthermore, the bike lies excellent on the trail thanks to its low bottom bracket and thus low centre of gravity. Overall, the geometry does not seem to be up to date anymore. The competition is significantly more modern in this regard.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Maxx RACEMAXX ELS

With a mediocre motor and an average brake system, the RACEMAXX ELS definitely has weaknesses. Nevertheless, it remains a solid all-rounder with a wide range of abilities , thanks to a good fork, a good groupset and a great range. Warning when choosing size: The RACEMAXX ELS sizing runs big.
