Merida eBIG.NINE 675 Review

Like the vast majority of e-hardtails, the eBIG.NINE 675 feels most at home on paved or gravel bike paths.
Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. Even nasty steep sections are effortlessly climbed by the motor. The Shimano EP600 conveys a riding feeling. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the eBIG.NINE 675 are no problem.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the eBIG.NINE 675 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

Rough descents take the good SR Suntour fork brand its course, though not with the calmness of a top-end fork. At the brakes, Merida reaches for the bottom of the SRAM shelf and instals simple brakes with four pistons and small 18 brake rotors. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Merida uses good equipment. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. Overall, the Merida developers have done a great job with a very god geometry.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Merida eBIG.NINE 675

The eBIG.NINE 675 is a real multitool for tours on forest paths and easy trails. Although there is still room for improvement at a weak brake system and a middle ground motor. Nevertheless, with an outstanding geometry, a good fork and a good groupset make it a capable Tourenbikes from Merida with a very wide range of use. With 25 years of guarantee, nothing can go wrong in the long run.
