Comparing the DUSK RR to the rest of Mondraker's lineup, it comes across as almost boring. However, the second bottle holder position under the top tube is clever.
In the automotive and motorcycle world, Japan has always had a reputation for being a breeding ground for excellent engines. Shimano is doing its utmost to live up to this reputation in the e-bike world with the EP8 engine. Even steepest climbs the Shimano motor easily climbs up well Even though the EP8 doesn't reach the performance of a Bosch CX Motor at maximum output, for example.. The Shimano EP8 provides a natural riding experience with a gentle power delivery. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the DUSK RR with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the DUSK RR in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

Even nasty descents get smoothened by the good Fox chassis. The mid-range brakes from SRAM do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Mondraker uses average parts. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Mondraker DUSK RR

Friends of gravity should jot down the DUSK RR. With a good chassis and a good geometry, the Mondraker is a real trail rocket even for really gnarly terrain. But a middle ground brake system are of course points of criticism that one should be aware of before purchasing. With a guarantee of 25 years, the warranty is generous.
