Mondraker THUNDRA Review

Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by E7000. At steep sections, the somewhat weak Shimano motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The Shimano E7000 gives off a rough riding feeling. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

Rough descents take the good Rock Shox fork brand its course, though not with the calmness of a top-end fork. At the brakes, Mondraker reaches for the bottom of the SRAM shelf and instals poor brakes with two pistons. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Mondraker uses good equipment. In view of the high reach value, it becomes clear: The main frame is long. However, the generous reach is compensated for by a very short stem. This way, Mondraker creates a good weight distribution between the wheels and a balanced handling. With its 22,4 kg, the THUNDRA is one of the lighter E-bikes. The competition is often significantly heavier.
