The name of the PATRIOT LE indicates that at Orange, there is pride in still manufacturing bikes in England.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. With torque under the motor cover, the support is generous. Nobody needs to fear steep hills anymore. Furthermore, the power of the motor control is regulated so that the start always feels dynamic,. Thanks to the very good range, you should no longer have any range problems even on very long tours.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Orange PATRIOT LE in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (10000) .

The good Fox chassis confidently dampens small and medium bumps. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Thanks to the solid power, the SRAM brakes can be counted on in the upper class segment. With four pistons and 200 millimeter rotors , Orange won't take any chances in that area. The components and the gears are less in the spotlight with an EMTB than with bikes without motor. Nevertheless, when we take a look we find out that here, good components are always used. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Orange PATRIOT LE

Overall, the PATRIOT LE is, due to a very strong range, a good motor and a good chassis is a good all-rounder for long trips on extreme technical trails.
