Orbea WILD FS M-TEAM Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. Even seemingly hopeless inclines the Bosch motor easily climbs up well. The Bosch Performance Line CX provides a very natural riding experience with a dynamic power delivery. This great combination mixed with lots of power, is something only a few other motors at Bosch's level can achieve. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At the chassis, Orbea were generous and gave the WILD FS M-TEAM a golden shine Kashima chassis from the house of Fox with 160 mm of travel. Setup-Nerds can squeeze out the maximum performance from the chassis thanks to the many setting options. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Whoever wants to ride fast, needs good brakes. The Shimano brakes are equipped with four pistons and 2 millimeter rotors. That way, the premium brakes decelerate more than adequately. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Orbea leaves almost no wishes open and only uses extremely good parts. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated.
