Orbea WILD M20 Review

For the 2023 season, the WILD M20 was completely revised. The result is a bike that has been stringently designed for fun on demanding single trails. The additional brace above the engine is to give more stiffness to the frame.
The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The Bosch motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a very well-rounded riding feeling and a dynamic power delivery characterises the Bosch Performance Line CX. This great combination mixed with lots of power, is something only a few other motors at Bosch's level can achieve. Thanks to the very good range, you should no longer have any range problems even on very long tours.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the WILD M20 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

Carbon frames are rather the exception in the price range of about 7500€. With the carbon fibre chassis, Orbea thus sets clear accents compared to the aluminium competitors. Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. Especially on root-strewn trails, the low-quality chassis puts the rider in front of greater challenges than necessary. Especially for heavy riders, the Orbea brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Orbea uses average parts. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Orbea WILD M20

If you want to experience the much-vaunted uphill flow, the WILD M20 is a hot candidate for you. Overall, the WILD M20 due to a very good range and a good motor is a good climber for long tours on extremely demanding single trails. But with an average groupset there are also criticisms that come with the overall package. The warranty of 25 years proves that Orbea has a lot of trust in its products.
