Even the most treacherous downhill runs are effortlessly handled by the high-end Fox chassis. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. When it comes to the brakes, Pivot reaches for the top shelf and instals premium brakes with four pistons from Shimano. Taking a holistic approach also includes looking at the gearing and components. The components are of good qualtiy and offer no reason for criticism here. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting.
