The 160 mm of travel leaves no doubt about the intended use of the TrailRay 160E 7.0. This bike also wants to be usable in rougher terrain.
At steep sections, the somewhat weak Yamaha motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The Yamaha PW-X2 gives off a well-rounded riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the TrailRay 160E 7.0 with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the TrailRay 160E 7.0 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

In comparison, it's noticeable that the direct competition mounts better chassises, thus offering significantly more control. The mid-range brakes from Tektro do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. Wide tires provide more grip and comfort. R Raymon tends to fit narrow tires with its #reifen_inch_breite R Raymon tires. For an All Mountain, we would prefer wider treads. Shifting and components still leave room for improvement. Other providers dig deeper into their pockets for these assemblies. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes. With weight, the TrailRay 160E 7.0 is generally one of the heavier e-bikes on the market.

Conclusion

Expirience with the R Raymon TrailRay 160E 7.0

There are certainly reasons why one should consider buying this E-MTB. Perhaps one is drawn to its appearance, the brand's image, or having a reliable local dealer. All of these factors can influence the purchasing decision. However, when looking at the hard facts, we must unfortunately say that the TrailRay 160E 7.0 doesn't quite meet our taste.
