The R.EX ULTRA has a radical look. Despite the high main pivot of its four-bar linkage rear suspension, it doesn’t rely on the typical idler pulley that other high-pivot concepts use. With its side-accessible battery and integrated Pins dropper post with maximum travel, the R.EX ULTRA has strong selling points to stand out in the highly competitive market.
Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. Steep ramps are no problem for the Shimano motor. Additionally, the Shimano EP81 stands out with a well-rounded riding feeling and a gentle power delivery. Fans of XXL tours will be happy with the R.EX ULTRA due to ist excellent range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Rotwild R.EX ULTRA in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (11000) .

The highend Fox chassis absorbs big hits like Chuck Norris and provides a lot of traction and control. With its four pistons and larger brake rotors the Shimano braking system decelerates outstandingly. This allows you to maintain control over your own pace even in the steepest descents. The narrow #reifen_inch_breite Schwalbe tires do not do this Trailbikes range of use any justice. In our opinion, Rotwild has saved weight in the wrong place here. The shifting and the rest of the components are always in the shadow of the engine when it comes to electric mountain bikes. Nevertheless, Rotwild doesn't skimp here and instals very good components. The relatively high reach value in the geometry table is compensated by Rotwild with a relatively short stem. Thus, the long main frame remains maneuverable in the terrain. On the scale, the R.EX ULTRA makes a good figure with 21,4 kg. Most Trailbikes are significantly heavier.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Rotwild R.EX ULTRA

With an extremely good geometry, a very good chassis and a $brake system_sehr_gut brake system, the R.EX ULTRA is an excellent choice for riders for whom fun starts mainly in the descent. The Rotwild is also a top choice for long tours on insanely technical trails.
