As a component giant, Shimano is mostly known for its dominant position in bicycle gears. But with the EP8, the Japanese are clearly showing that they can look beyond their own plate too. The natural motor control and the harmonious power output characterise the character of the Shimano motor. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the BULLIT X01 / Air with only an average range.

Even on rough terrain, the BULLIT X01 / Air doesn't lose its composure thanks to the excellent Fox chassis, giving you a lot of control. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. With its four pistons and larger brake rotors the SRAM braking system decelerates extremely goodly. This allows you to maintain control over your own pace even in the steepest descents. A nice touch: The gear and components are on a very good level. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. Overall, the Santa Cruz developers have done a great job with a very god geometry. With its 22,26 kg, the BULLIT X01 / Air is one of the lighter E-bikes. The competition is often significantly heavier.
