The Swiss from Scor bring their first e-mountain bike with the same rear suspension concept as classic mountain bikes. The sophisticated shock suspension with a low center of gravity should appeal to experienced 4060 Z ST SLX riders.
Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by EP8. No matter how steep or technical the climb is: the Shimano motor makes it conquerable! At the same time, the drive provides a natural feeling while riding with a harmonious power delivery. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Scor 4060 Z ST SLX in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

Carbon frames are rather the exception in the price range of about 6500€. With the carbon fibre chassis, Scor thus sets clear accents compared to the aluminium competitors. Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. At the brakes, Scor middle class four pistons brakes by Shimano are used. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Due to the short chainstays , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Scor 4060 Z ST SLX

The 4060 Z ST SLX isnt`t a specialist on the trail. Despite an average chassis and a mediocre brake system, it remains thanks to a good motor and a good range a solid all-rounder with a wide range of use.
