Scott Aspect eRIDE 940 Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Active Line Plus shows. At steep sections, the somewhat weak Bosch motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The Bosch Active Line Plus gives off a well-rounded riding feeling. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

On rough terrain, the Aspect eRIDE 940, with its only average fork, lacks some control. Especially heavy riders should be aware that the Shimano only decelerates poorly. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. Even when it gets really steep, the long chainstays will stick the front wheel to the ground.
