The Contessa Lumen eRIDE 900 represents the spearhead of the current technical development. The frame is not only particularly light, but also has integrated dampers in the seat tube. The cable routing through the headset makes the look particularly elegant. And of course Scott thinks about the ladies´needs with the Contessa version.
The TQ HPR 50 is not one of the powerhouses on the market. The somewhat low torque engine could use a bit more support, especially on steep climbs. The motor control of TQ conveys a very well-rounded riding experience. The harmonious power delivery is an ace up the sleeve of the HPR 50. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly. The integrated battery gives developers constructive freedom when designing the frame. However, to charge it, the bike always has to be brought near an outlet.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Contessa Lumen eRIDE 900 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

Carbon is considered a premium material in the bike industry. In the price range about 7000€, aluminium is usually the frame material used. With the carbon frame, Scott can clearly differentiate itself from many competitors. Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. At the brakes, Scott middle class four pistons brakes with small 18 brake rotors by Shimano are used. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. The weight of a bike is a key factor for the fun of riding. With 15,5 kg, the Contessa Lumen eRIDE 900 is one of the lightest Trailbikes on the market. This turns the bike into a real joyride on the trail. The low weight combined with the pleasant geometry ensures a very natural and agile handling. With very few other EMTBs, you forget so quickly that you are moving a bike with a motor, as with the Contessa Lumen eRIDE 900.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Scott Contessa Lumen eRIDE 900

Friends of gravity should jot down the Contessa Lumen eRIDE 900. With an excellent handling, the Scott is a real trail rocket for flowy trails. But a mediocre chassis and an average brake system are of course points of criticism that one should be aware of before purchasing. With 5 years of guarantee, nothing can go wrong in the long run.
