Scott Contessa Voltage eRIDE 900 Review

The harmonious power delivery is a clear character of the HPR 50. With 50 Nm torque, the support on the hill is rather moderate. The very natural motor control of the HPR 50 shapes the riding feel of the Contessa Voltage eRIDE 900. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

Carbon is considered a premium material in the bike industry. In the price range about 7000€, aluminium is usually the frame material used. With the carbon frame, Scott can clearly differentiate itself from many competitors. Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. Especially for heavy riders, the Scott brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. With a flat 63,9° angle , the geometry follows the current trend. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. The scale stays at 19,5 kg with this model. That makes the Contessa Voltage eRIDE 900 one of the light All Mountains.
