Flat welds and an elegant finish do not clearly indicate at first glance that the Genius eRIDE 920 is an aluminium bike. Typical Scott: the rear triangle can be locked from the handlebar.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. The very well-rounded motor control and the progressive power output characterise the character of the Bosch motor. The well-tuned riding modes cater to bikers of all preferences. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the Genius eRIDE 920 are no problem.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Scott Genius eRIDE 920 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

The Fox chassis provides safety and traction, even when the trail gets rougher. However, it comes to its limit at high speed. Especially for heavy riders, the Scott brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Even when it gets really steep, the long chainstays will stick the front wheel to the ground. The steep seat angle puts the rider far forward in the bike. This puts pressure on the front, which additionally increases the climbing abilities in technical uphills. Overall, the Scott developers have done a great job with a very god geometry.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Scott Genius eRIDE 920

The Genius eRIDE 920 is a real multitool for tours on extreme technical trails. Although there is still room for improvement at a middle ground chassis and a mediocre brake system. Nevertheless, with a fantastic geometry, a good motor and a Impressive range make it a capable All Mountains from Scott with a very wide range of use. The guarantee promise of 5 years provides trust.
