The Lumen eRIDE 910 represents the spearhead of current technical development. The frame is not only particularly light, but also has integrated dampers in the seat tube. The cable routing through the headset makes the look particularly elegant.
The harmonious power delivery is a clear character of the HPR 50. With 50 Nm torque, the support on the hill is rather moderate. The very well-rounded motor control of the HPR 50 shapes the riding feel of the Lumen eRIDE 910. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Lumen eRIDE 910 , because of its low range. The battery is securely attached to the down tube and cannot be removed for charging or storage.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Scott Lumen eRIDE 910 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

In the about 7000€ price range, most manufacturers use aluminium as the frame material. With a carbon frame, Scott turns the weight screw and sets itself apart from the competitors. The Fox chassis provides safety and traction, even when the trail gets rougher. However, it comes to its limit at high speed. Especially for heavy riders, the Scott brakes could be a problem. With four pistons and small 180 brake rotors they only decelerate averagely. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. When I looked at the weight of the complete bike, my jaw actually dropped. With 17,6 kg, the Lumen eRIDE 910 is a real lightweight. The low weight combined with the pleasant geometry ensures a very natural and agile handling. With very few other EMTBs, you forget so quickly that you are moving a bike with a motor, as with the Lumen eRIDE 910.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Scott Lumen eRIDE 910

Friends of gravity should jot down the Lumen eRIDE 910. With an excellent handling, the Scott is a real trail rocket for flowy trails. But a middle ground chassis and an average brake system are of course points of criticism that one should be aware of before purchasing. Scott gives a warranty of 5 years on the bike.
