Scott Patron eRIDE 900 Review

To implement the tubular shapes from the Patron eRIDE 900 with an aluminium frame requires a lot of manufacturing know-how. The shock integrated into the top tube and the motor turned slightly upwards are the clearest features of the integrative approach. Thanks to the unusual motor position, the battery can be mounted particularly low in the bike. The rear light integrated in the fender can almost be called a trifle with so much innovation.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. The Bosch motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a very well-rounded riding feeling and a progressive power delivery characterises the Bosch Performance Line CX. The well-tuned riding modes cater to bikers of all preferences. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Scott Patron eRIDE 900 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (8000) .

The good Fox chassis confidently dampens small and medium bumps. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. When it comes to the brakes, Scott reaches for the top shelf and instals premium brakes with four pistons and large brake rotors from Shimano. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. When it comes to the geometry, Scott does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Scott Patron eRIDE 900

The Patron eRIDE 900 is clearly strong in uphill riding. Even though other bikes might shine more in the a mediocre groupset, this one does not disappoint: With an average groupset, there's nothing stopping the uphill flow. Praise-worthy: 5 years of Warranty on the Frame!
