E-mountain bike hardtails made of carbon are almost non-existent. The Sengo PMax GX1 Eagle occupies a niche with its high-quality approach.
The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The very well-rounded motor control and the dynamic power output characterise the character of the Bosch motor. Achieving such a perfect balance between natural support and power is something few other engines can do. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Sengo PMax GX1 Eagle with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Sengo PMax GX1 Eagle in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

Carbon is considered a premium material in the bike industry. In the price range about 6500€, aluminium is usually the frame material used. With the carbon frame, Simplon can clearly differentiate itself from many competitors. Rough descents take the good SR Suntour fork brand its course, though not with the calmness of a top-end fork. Especially for heavy riders, the Simplon brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The components and the gears are less in the spotlight with an EMTB than with bikes without motor. Nevertheless, when we take a look we find out that here, good components are always used. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Simplon Sengo PMax GX1 Eagle

Especially when gravity pulls man and machine downwards, the Sengo PMax GX1 Eagle really comes alive. With a good fork and a good geometry the Simplon is a real trail rocket for flowy trails. Where there's light, there's inevitably shadows as well. With a low travel, Sengo PMax GX1 Eagle has its weak points too.
