Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. The Bosch motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a very natural riding feeling and a dynamic power delivery characterises the Bosch Performance Line CX. The well-tuned driving modes hit the mark. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Sengo PMax GX1 Eagle AXS with only an average range.

In the about 7000€ price range, most manufacturers use aluminium as the frame material. With a carbon frame, Simplon turns the weight screw and sets itself apart from the competitors. Rough descents take the good SR Suntour fork brand its course, though not with the calmness of a top-end fork. At the brakes, Simplon middle class four pistons brakes by SRAM are used. At the drive components and the remaining parts, Simplon uses very good parts. When it comes to the geometry, Simplon does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability.
