Specialized S-Works Turbo Levo Review

The S-Works Turbo Levo was one of the trendsetters in the field of light E-MTBs years ago. Although quite a few manufacturers have now followed the trend from America, the Levo still remains a bike that should be considered in the purchase decision. The organic lines of the asymmetrical main frame are an absolute eye-catcher. The optical difference to a mountain bike without a motor is hardly noticable.
Even gnarly inclines the powerful Specialized motor easily climbs up well. The Specialized 2.2 provides a very natural riding experience with a progressive power delivery. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the S-Works Turbo Levo with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the S-Works Turbo Levo in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (15000) .

The golden shine Fox chassis can certainly be described as outstanding. With its absorption qualities, it can easily absorb rough shocks in descents and provide calm behind the handlebars. Setup-Nerds can squeeze out the maximum performance from the chassis thanks to the many setting options. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Thanks to the solid power, the Magura brakes can be counted on in the upper class segment. With four pistons and big brake rotors, Specialized won't take any chances in that area. A nice touch: The gear and components are on a very good level. When it comes to the geometry, Specialized does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. Overall, the Specialized developers have done a great job with a very god geometry.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Specialized S-Works Turbo Levo

For tours, the S-Works Turbo Levo with a fantastic chassis, a top-notch geometry and a very good groupset is well equipped. Only with a mediocre range you have to look away. The sight of the price tag leaves one almost breathless: Specialized charges a hefty 15000 € for this highend Bike. Specialized gives a warranty of 25 years on the bike.
