Even though the Turbo Tero 4.0 has classic mountain bike attachments, it still feels more comfortable on gravel roads or asphalt bike paths than off-road. The deep welded seatstays make for an independent and good look. The ability to mount two bottle cages in the frame triangle should appeal to many bikers.
The dynamic power delivery is a clear character of the 2.0. With 70 Nm torque, the support on the hill is rather moderate. The very natural motor control of the 2.0 shapes the riding feel of the Turbo Tero 4.0. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Specialized Turbo Tero 4.0 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

Rough descents take the good Rock Shox fork brand its course, though not with the calmness of a top-end fork. At the brakes, Specialized middle class four pistons brakes by SRAM are used. A nice touch: The gear and components are on a very good level. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. Hell yeah, the geometry is killer! Here the know-how of the Specialized developers is videly visible.

Value for money

Conclusion

Expirience with the Specialized Turbo Tero 4.0

Especially when gravity pulls man and machine downwards, the Turbo Tero 4.0 really comes alive. With a very good geometry and a good fork the Specialized is a real trail rocket for flowy trails. Where there's light, there's inevitably shadows as well. With a low travel, Turbo Tero 4.0 has its weak points too. The generous warranty of 25 years proves that Specialized stands behind its products.
