Stevens E-CAYOLLE GENERATION 2 Review

The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The Bosch motor climbs steep ramps effortlessly. The very natural riding feeling combines the Bosch Performance Line CX with a dynamic power delivery. This great combination mixed with lots of power, is something only a few other motors at Bosch's level can achieve. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the E-CAYOLLE are no problem.

Rough descents take the good SR Suntour fork brand its course, though not with the calmness of a top-end fork. The mid-range brakes from Tektro do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. Taking a holistic approach also includes looking at the gearing and components. The components are of good qualtiy and offer no reason for criticism here. When it comes to the geometry, Stevens does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. For additional points in downhill handling, the low bottom bracket integrates the rider well into the bike and pulls the centre of gravity down. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes.
