Stevens E-Inception AM 8.7.1 GTF Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. Steep ramps are no problem for the Bosch motor. Additionally, the Bosch Performance Line CX stands out with a very natural riding feeling and a progressive power delivery. The well-tuned riding modes cater to bikers of all preferences. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

In the about 7000€ price range, most manufacturers use aluminium as the frame material. With a carbon frame, Stevens turns the weight screw and sets itself apart from the competitors. The frame on entry-level was stingy with control. Bad brakes reduce the riding pleasure. Fortunately, this is not the case with the E-Inception AM 8.7.1 GTF. With their four pistons and 2 disc brakes the SRAM brake brakes good. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Stevens uses average parts. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated.
