Stevens E-Inception ED 8.7.1 GTF Review

The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The very natural motor control and the progressive power output characterise the character of the Bosch motor. This great combination mixed with lots of power, is something only a few other motors at Bosch's level can achieve. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

In the about 6500€ price range, most manufacturers use aluminium as the frame material. With a carbon frame, Stevens turns the weight screw and sets itself apart from the competitors. The frame on entry-level was stingy with control. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Bad brakes reduce the riding pleasure. Fortunately, this is not the case with the E-Inception ED 8.7.1 GTF. With their four pistons and 2 disc brakes the SRAM brake brakes good. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling.
