Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by EP8. The Shimano motor climbs steep ramps effortlessly. The natural riding feeling combines the Shimano EP8 with a harmonious power delivery. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

As the bumps become faster and harder, the low-quality chassis could limit the descending fun quite early. The mid-range brakes from Magura do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the two pistons setup is only average. Shifting and components still leave room for improvement. Other providers dig deeper into their pockets for these assemblies. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of Storck doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here. The scale stays at 20,5 kg with this model. That makes the e.drenic.2 GTS 500 XT 1x12 one of the light Enduros.
