The delicate rear triangle of the eXF 9039 is turning heads in an EMTB scene otherwise dominated by beefy tube shapes. Here, the Polish team at Superior have achieved a great variation in design prowess.
Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. At steep sections, the somewhat weak Shimano motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The Shimano EP 6 RS gives off a natural riding feeling. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Superior eXF 9039 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. At the brakes, Superior middle class four pistons brakes with small 18 brake rotors by Shimano are used. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Superior uses average parts. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of Superior doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Superior eXF 9039

The developers of Superior have created a solid all-rounder with the eXF 9039. Even though the E-Mountainbike reveals a weak flank with a middle ground motor and a mediocre chassis, it remains a widely applicable vehicle.
