The eXP 8089 is a hardtail but boasts at least 120 mm of travel on the fork. This keeps it game for some light trail riding.
Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by EP8. The natural motor control and the gentle power output characterise the character of the Shimano motor. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the eXP 8089 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

The good Rock Shox fork dampens small and medium bumps confidently when mountain biking. Especially heavy riders should be aware that the Shimano only decelerates poorly. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Superior uses good equipment. When it comes to the geometry, Superior does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Due to the short chainstays , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Superior eXP 8089

Friends of gravity should jot down the eXP 8089. With a good fork and a good geometry, the Superior is a real trail rocket for flowy trails. But a low travel are of course points of criticism that one should be aware of before purchasing.
