The name of the MIG 630 is not related to the famous MIG jet, but to the nickname of the CEO. We think, that no manufacturer succeeds better in highlighting an external battery as a design highlight than Thok.
In the automotive and motorcycle world, Japan has always had a reputation for being a breeding ground for excellent engines. Shimano is doing its utmost to live up to this reputation in the e-bike world with the E7000 engine. At steep sections, the somewhat weak Shimano motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The Shimano E7000 gives off a digital riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the MIG 630 with only an average range.

The chassis unfortunately isn't great. Riders might lack comfort on rough terrain. Especially for heavy riders, the Thok brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Thok uses average parts. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of Thok doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here. On the scale, the MIG 630 makes a good figure with 22,5 kg. Most Trailbikes are significantly heavier.
