The Repeater Carbon GX axs was among the first EMTBs to be outfitted with SRAM's new Eagle Powertrain motor. Boasting generous suspension travel, it aims to honor the old Northshore traditions and deliver a blast on the descents.
Sram is aiming to elevate system integration in E-Bikes to a new level with its own Eagle Powertrain engine. For this, the Americans are technically relying on hardware from the German manufacturer Brose and mainly scoring points with innovative software that completely relieves the rider of the need to shift gears through its Autoshift function. If desired, the 12 gears of the Transmission drive can still be manually shifted. As is customary with Brose motors, the Eagle Powertrain motor operates very quietly. The power development is $dynamic and the 9 Nm torque takes the fear out of even the steepest inclines. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Repeater Carbon GX axs in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (12000) .

The Rock Shox chassis provides safety and traction, even when the trail gets rougher. However, it comes to its limit at high speed. The frame on entry-level was stingy with control. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Thanks to the solid power, the SRAM brakes can be counted on in the upper class segment. With four pistons and big brake rotors, Transition won't take any chances in that area. For an Enduro , the Schwalbe tires with a width of #reifen_inch_breite inches are relatively narrow. In our opinion, Transition could have put on wider tires. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The combination of a slack head tube angle and tendentially long wheelbase makes the Repeater Carbon GX axs remain steady even at higher speeds. For the very good geometry, the developer team of Transition definitely deserves props. Such a knack for detail in geometry is rarely seen.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Transition Repeater Carbon GX axs

With an excellent motor, an outstanding geometry and a great range the Repeater Carbon GX axs counts among the better climbers on the market. This emphasizes its fun factor on tours on insanely technical trails. Nevertheless, a mediocre groupset also give cause for criticism. We have to stay honest.
