The motor position on the E-150 RS 29er is turned slightly upwards. This allows the battery to be placed in front of the motor and thus sits particularly low in the frame, which has a positive effect on the e-mountain bike's center of gravity.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. Steep ramps are no problem for the Bosch motor. Additionally, the Bosch Performance Line CX stands out with a very well-rounded riding feeling and a progressive power delivery. The well-tuned riding modes cater to bikers of all preferences. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the E-150 RS 29er in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

Even nasty descents get smoothened by the good Rock Shox chassis. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. At the brakes, Whyte instals upper class brakes with four pistons and large brake rotors from SRAM. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Whyte uses average parts. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. Overall, the Whyte developers have done a great job with a god geometry.
