Wilier 101FX Hybrid SHIMANO XT 1×12 Review

At steep sections, the somewhat weak FAZUA motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The FAZUA Evation Ride 50 Trail gives off a well-rounded riding feeling. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

Carbon is considered a premium material in the bike industry. In the price range about 6500€, aluminium is usually the frame material used. With the carbon frame, Wilier can clearly differentiate itself from many competitors. Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. Especially for heavy riders, the Wilier brakes could be a problem. With two pistons they only decelerate averagely. The narrow #reifen_inch_breite Vittoria tires do not do this EMTB's range of use any justice. In our opinion, Wilier has saved weight in the wrong place here. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Wilier uses average parts. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. For additional points in downhill handling, the low bottom bracket integrates the rider well into the bike and pulls the centre of gravity down. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes. With its slim weight, the 101FX Hybrid SHIMANO XT 1x12 is one of the lightest EMTBs.
