Wilier Urta Hybrid SHIMANO XT Review

Even steep ramps are surprisingly easy to climb with the Fazua motor. With its boost function, which provides 450 watts of support for a short period of time, the Fazua Ride 60 reduces the gap between light and classic full-power motors. At the moment, hardly any other light motor offers such a good combination of natural support, dynamic power delivery and capability. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

In the about 7000€ price range, most manufacturers use aluminium as the frame material. With a carbon frame, Wilier turns the weight screw and sets itself apart from the competitors. Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. Especially for heavy riders, the Wilier brakes could be a problem. With two pistons they only decelerate averagely. The narrow #reifen_inch_breite Vittoria tires do not do this EMTB's range of use any justice. In our opinion, Wilier has saved weight in the wrong place here. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of Wilier doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here.
