Rose Bonero Plus 1 Review

The TQ HPR 50 is not one of the powerhouses on the market. The somewhat low torque engine could use a bit more support, especially on steep climbs. The motor control of TQ conveys a very natural riding experience. The harmonious power delivery is an ace up the sleeve of the HPR 50. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

In the about 4500€ price range, most manufacturers use aluminium as the frame material. With a carbon frame, Rose turns the weight screw and sets itself apart from the competitors. Ideally, a suspension fork smooths out rough terrain and allows for controlled guidance even during fast descents. That's exactly what the outstanding Rock Shox fork on the Bonero Plus 1 does. At the brakes, Rose instals upper class brakes with four pistons and 2 millimeter rotors from Shimano. The shifting and the rest of the components are always in the shadow of the engine when it comes to electric mountain bikes. Nevertheless, Rose doesn't skimp here and instals very good components. The relatively high reach value in the geometry table is compensated by Rose with a relatively short stem. Thus, the long main frame remains maneuverable in the terrain. The weight of a bike is a key factor for the fun of riding. With 16,9 kg, the Bonero Plus 1 is one of the lightest Trailbikes on the market. This turns the bike into a real joyride on the trail. Especially going downhill, the good geometry of the Bonero Plus 1 really shines.
