Bergamont E-Trailster Expert Review

The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The Bosch motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a very well-rounded riding feeling and a dynamic power delivery characterises the Bosch Performance Line CX. This great combination mixed with lots of power, is something only a few other motors at Bosch's level can achieve. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the E-Trailster Expert are no problem.

The chassis unfortunately isn't great. Riders might lack comfort on rough terrain. At the brakes, Bergamont middle class four pistons brakes by Shimano are used. The components and the shifting seem less important for Bergamont. The components used here have a clear potential for improvement after a view at the competitors. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Too steep and technical uphills are less the comfort zone of the E-Trailster Expert. On bikes with a steeper seat angle and longer chainstays, it is much more relaxed to climb in demanding terrain.
