Although the Spaniards had to calculate with an extremely sharp pencil with the price of 2299 €, they do not neglect the design. The ATOM 29 comes with an independent design language and interesting features. For example, the engine is installed upright to have more space for the battery. A bottle cage can be mounted within reach under the top tube.
At steep sections, the somewhat weak BH motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The BH 1E-36V gives off a rough riding feeling. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the ATOM 29 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (2000) .

As the bumps get bigger and rougher the average SR Suntour fork limits the downhill fun. Especially heavy riders should be aware that the Shimano only decelerates poorly. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, BH uses average parts. When it comes to the geometry, BH does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability.

Conclusion

Expirience with the BH ATOM 29

The ATOM 29 isnt`t a specialist on the trail. Despite a poor brake system and a weak range, it remains a solid all-rounder with a wide range of use.
