With the CORE 29, the Spaniards from BH bring a hardtail with a minimalist design. Visually, it is hardly identifiable as an e-mountain bike.
At steep sections, the somewhat weak BH motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The BH 2ESMAG gives off a rough riding feeling. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the BH CORE 29 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (3000) .

The good Rock Shox fork dampens small and medium bumps confidently when mountain biking. At the brakes, BH reaches for the bottom of the Shimano shelf and instals weak brakes with two pistons and small 18 brake rotors. The narrow #reifen_inch_breite Maxxis tires do not do this EMTB's range of use any justice. In our opinion, BH has saved weight in the wrong place here. Taking a holistic approach also includes looking at the gearing and components. The components are of good qualtiy and offer no reason for criticism here. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated.

Conclusion

Expirience with the BH CORE 29

The developers of BH have created a solid all-rounder with the CORE 29. Even though the E-Mountainbike reveals a weak flank with a poor motor and a simple brake system, it remains thanks to a very good handling, a good fork and a good groupset:Genetiv a widely applicable vehicle.
