BH iLYNX RACE 7.9 Review

The gentle power delivery is a clear character of the BHZ, 65Nm. With 65 Nm torque, the support on the hill is rather moderate. The natural motor control of the BHZ, 65Nm shapes the riding feel of the iLYNX RACE 7.9. Fans of XXL tours will be happy with the iLYNX RACE 7.9 due to ist excellent range. Who wants to remove the battery for charging or storing, will be disappointed with the iLYNX RACE 7.9. The battery is firmly built-in.

With 120 mm travel of the Fox chassis, it's not exactly generously equipped. However, in its preferred habitat, the Fox chassis works well in its on gravel roads and simple forest paths. Bad brakes reduce the riding pleasure. Fortunately, this is not the case with the iLYNX RACE 7.9. With their four pistons the Shimano brake brakes good. The narrow #reifen_inch_breite Maxxis tires do not do this EMTB's range of use any justice. In our opinion, BH has saved weight in the wrong place here. At the drive components and the remaining parts, BH uses very good parts. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes. With its slim weight, the iLYNX RACE 7.9 is one of the lightest EMTBs.
