The suspension travel at the fork qualifies the iLYNX RACE CARBON PRO LT 7.8 for only touring on gravel roads and simple forest paths. In this area of use, the Fox chassis works quite well. With its four pistons and larger brake rotors the Shimano braking system decelerates outstandingly. This allows you to maintain control over your own pace even in the steepest descents. A nice touch: The gear and components are on a very good level. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes.
