BH iLYNX TRAIL 8.0 Review

The BHZ BHZ, 65Nm is not one of the powerhouses on the market. The somewhat low torque engine could use a bit more support, especially on steep climbs. The motor control of BHZ conveys a well-rounded riding experience. The gentle power delivery is an ace up the sleeve of the BHZ, 65Nm. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

On rough terrain, the iLYNX TRAIL 8.0 with its average Rock Shox chassis lacks bit of control. Especially for heavy riders, the BH brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The components and the shifting seem less important for BH. The components used here have a clear potential for improvement after a view at the competitors. When it comes to the geometry, BH does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The deep bottom bracket also provides excellent cornering and thus contributes to the good handling. The deep bottom bracket can however lead to crank strikes in technical uphills and disrupt the climbing flow.
