BH iLYNX TRAIL 8.1 Review

The BHZ BHZ, 65Nm is not one of the powerhouses on the market. The somewhat low torque engine could use a bit more support, especially on steep climbs. The motor control of BHZ conveys a well-rounded riding experience. The gentle power delivery is an ace up the sleeve of the BHZ, 65Nm. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the iLYNX TRAIL 8.1 are no problem.

Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. The mid-range brakes from SRAM do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, BH uses average parts. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The deep bottom bracket also provides excellent cornering and thus contributes to the good handling. We love deep bottom brackets, as long as it's going downhill. Uphill you need to be aware that the crank can sometimes hit the ground.
