In rough terrain, the Earp 3 lacks a bit of control with its only average fork. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. Taking a holistic approach also includes looking at the gearing and components. The components are of good qualtiy and offer no reason for criticism here. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry.
