The Cologne-based brand Bulls distinguishes itself on the market with an extensive dealer network and affordable, well-equipped bikes. The Copperhead EVO AM 1 is not only a full-suspension version of the popular Copperhead hardtail, because it has significantly more suspension travel than its hardtail counterparts. With 140 mm of travel at the fork, nothing stands in the way of excursions into rougher terrain.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. The Bosch motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a very well-rounded riding feeling and a progressive power delivery characterises the Bosch Performance Line CX. Achieving such a perfect balance between natural support and power is something few other engines can do. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Bulls Copperhead EVO AM 1 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

As the hits get faster and harder the average chassis limits the downhill fun. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Bulls uses average parts. If the Meta's chainstay length is less than 445, the short chainstay and, if the Reach's Relative Rating is less than 3, the relatively short reach characterise the Bulls as a playful, agile bike. This makes it easy to navigate through winding trails. Small wheels are becoming rare, but with the Copperhead EVO AM 1 the 27.5 wheels pay off with a playful riding experience. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Bulls Copperhead EVO AM 1

The Copperhead EVO AM 1 doesn't stand out among the other bikes on the market. It is overshadowed by a weak range and a mediocre groupset. Still, it is a solid climber and should find a loyal following.
