The futuristic design of the Sonic EVA TR 2 fits perfectly into the corporate identity of the Bulls Sonic line. Like all the other fullys in the Sonic lineup, the Sonic EVA TR 2 has a four-link rear triangle with upright shock. Although this has slightly less travel than the fork, it still allows trips into light terrain.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. With torque under the motor cover, the support is generous. Nobody needs to fear steep hills anymore. Furthermore, the power of the motor control is regulated so that the start always feels dynamic,. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Bulls Sonic EVA TR 2 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (5000) .

Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Bulls uses average parts. If the Meta's chainstay length is less than 445, the short chainstay and, if the Reach's Relative Rating is less than 3, the relatively short reach characterise the Bulls as a playful, agile bike. This makes it easy to navigate through winding trails. The 27.5 inch wheels additionally emphasize the playful character. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Bulls Sonic EVA TR 2

The developers of Bulls have created a solid all-rounder with the Sonic EVA TR 2. Even though the E-Mountainbike reveals a weak flank with a mediocre chassis and an average brake system, it remains a widely applicable vehicle.
