Bulls Sonic EVO 1 29” Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. The very well-rounded motor control and the dynamic power output characterise the character of the Bosch motor. The well-tuned riding modes cater to bikers of all preferences. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Sonic EVO 1 29 with only an average range.

The bad Bulls fork suspension transmits bumps relatively clearly to the biker. Especially for heavy riders, the Bulls brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. For an EMTB , the Schwalbe tires with a width of #reifen_inch_breite inches are relatively narrow. In our opinion, Bulls could have put on wider tires. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Bulls uses average parts. When it comes to the geometry, Bulls does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. For the good geometry, the developer team of Bulls definitely deserves props. Such a knack for detail in geometry is rarely seen.
