With 140 mm of travel at the front and rear, even more demanding trails can be explored in principle. The Sonic EVO AM 1 thus wants to be more than just a conventional touring bike and expresses this desire also in its striking appearance.
The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. Even steep uphills the Bosch motor easily climbs up well. The Bosch Performance Line CX provides a very well-rounded riding experience with a dynamic power delivery. The well-tuned driving modes hit the mark. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Sonic EVO AM 1 , because of its low range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Bulls Sonic EVO AM 1 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

In comparison, it's noticeable that the direct competition mounts better chassises, thus offering significantly more control. Especially for heavy riders, the Bulls brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. Shifting and components still leave room for improvement. Other providers dig deeper into their pockets for these assemblies. On winding trails, the playful handling comes to the fore, as the bike masters even the fastest direction changes with the short wheelbase playfully. The small 27.5 inch wheels give the bike a lively character. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Bulls Sonic EVO AM 1

No doubt, the Sonic EVO AM 1 makes its older competitors look like old news. Nevertheless, as a solid climber it still has some aces up its sleeve to convince bikers who prefer to go uphill.
